I hesitated using the word Addicted…

I hesitated using the word Addicted
I was prescribed Adderall by a doctor, I never abused it, in fact I took 1/4 of my prescription each day and sometimes I didn’t take any…
I never thought it was that bad…
But I didn’t want to be on it either…
For years I searched the internet for the effects of Adderall -looking for a reason to get off of it…
The details of what it was really doing weren’t out there…
There was always this idea that as long as you didn’t abuse it, you’d be fine.
I wrote this book as a reminder to myself that it was that bad:
I was losing my eyesight,
My kidneys were hurting,
I wasn’t able to focus,
I had no energy,
I had lost my ability to be excited, lost my drive and motivation,
My memory was going,
And so much more.

This isn’t about Adderall though. This book is about what you are saying is not that bad in your own life? What are you living with that’s killing you on the inside?
Is it your marriage?
Your career?
Your lack of time?
How many times have you put off that vacation?
Why aren’t you spending time with your loved ones? With your kids? Is it worth it?
There is something that we all, as achievers, think we need to hang on to so we can keep achieving.
I ask you…
Is it worth you LIFE?
Because that’s what you are giving to stay ADDICTED to your current reality.
